Planter camping

Landowners have spent tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of dollars to restrict access to  shared spaces in San Francisco, creating even smaller margins for the marginalized. By symbolically moving encampments into the structures meant to prevent them, UTTER hoped to emphasize the persistence of the housing crisis, and to test if any encampment, no matter the size, would be acceptable to the landowners. Experience showed that they were removed within days.
